Every girl has that feeling of butterflies in her tummy when she thinks about her first date. Especially if it’s with a guy you really fancy. There are a million and one questions that will run through your mind before the D-day.

Dress Accordingly
Ensure you know where your date will be taking you before the actual day. I would not advice you to agree to a surprise date on your first date. The potential for things to go terribly wrong is very possible. If he’s taking you to a formal event, then a nice jacket with a pair of trousers or skirt will be nice. If the date will be a picnic at the park, then a pair of jeans and a t-shirt will be ideal.
Keep it Simple
Do not over-accessorize with gold bangles, diamond necklaces, multi-colored hair beads, multiple ear rings etc on your first date. This might give him the impression that you’re a woman who likes to draw attention to herself with the things she wears. Your accessories could also distract him from paying full attention to you as you have a conversation together. Even if you like diamonds (and what girl doesn’t), keep it to a minimum.
Don’t Dress Trashy
This is the ultimate NO-NO. Dressing like a tramp will give him the wrong impression about you and make him run away. Also if he’s a man without self control and manners, he might touch you in a way you’ll find demeaning and insulting. Don’t expose your mid riff or chest in a way that screams “Come to Mama!” and refrain from wearing a mini-skirt that reveals too much of your legs. Keep it simple and you’ll be just fine.
Let Your Personality Shine Through
Some women try and impress a guy with the clothes they wear, their perfect make-up, new hair-do etc and forget their personality at home on a date. A gentleman will not only admire your physical beauty but will seek to know a little bit more about you on a spiritual, emotional and social level. Be prepared to discover a few new things about your date but also get ready to share some of your passions and experiences with him.
